Matovu Consulting is honored to help signal boost an amazing opportunity for MC clients and the general community to support The Ruby Project, a non-profit that serves young women who’ve experienced various forms of abuse and trauma.
At this year’s annual 3-day retreat, which features mental health workshops, dance and drama therapy workshops, self-defense workshops and other trust-building activities, The Ruby Project will help girls realize their worth, despite their life circumstances.
Please save the date for the Ruby Arts Showcase, a powerful event that wraps up the retreat. At the Showcase, the girls will bravely share their stories of pain and triumph through the creative arts with the audience. We are asking that the community come and support the Ruby girls as they share their stories. Event details are below:
Date: Sunday, July 20, 2014
Time: 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Location: Pacific Auditorium @ Hope International University, 2500 East Nutwood Avenue, Fullerton, CA

This year, The Ruby Project is proud to be hosting 23 young women – some who’ve been sexually abused, raped, victims of sex trafficking, grieving losses of family members, poverty, being removed from their homes, etc
Ruby’s mission is to empower our girls, instill hope, and teach life skills that will help them make empowered choices in their future. The Ruby Project educates and empowers girls through retreats which focus on emotional health, woman’s health, and healthy coping through the creative arts, and through an interactive online community. The Ruby Project’s ultimate goal is to help girls realize, and live like, they are worth far more than rubies. (Proverbs 31:10). Click here to learn more about The Ruby Project.
